In response to the requests of its international membership, the Design Research Society (DRS) was setting up Special Interest Groups (SIGs) in 2007 as a way of providing its members with a forum for their interests and to engage and work actively together around the world. The Special Interest Group on Experiential Knowledge (EKSIG) was the first Special Interest Group of the DRS.
EKSIG is concerned with the understanding and role of knowledge in research and professional practice in design in order to clarify fundamental principles and practices of using design practice within research both with regard to research regulations and requirements, and research methodology.
ANNOUNCEMNT: EKSIG 2025 will be hosted by MOME Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest in Hungary. Call for papers will be launched mid-2024.
